Pura d'or Hair & Body Care Review

Hello beautiful readers!!

Today I bring you a review on some Pura d'or hair and body care products.

I was sent:
Premium Organic Shampoo
Premium Organic Conditioner
Argan Oil

Premium Organic Shampoo
Hair Loss Prevention Therapy

Claims:
Our Shampoo starts by nourishing hair follicles with essential nutrients to reverse any damage and begin the healing process. Biotin strengthens hair strands, niacin increases circulation and our exclusive DHT Blocker Blend promotes healthy hair growth. Continued use will prevent further hair loss. Safe for daily use, for all hair types both men & women.

Thoughts:
I have been trying to take care of my hair more and I thought this would be excellent. When I first tried it I hated the smell. It smells like oregano or like a pizza. I don't know I just know I hate it. Then on the bottle it says this is a three month supply but I don't see how. I have to use so much to cover my hair. After I do get it in my hair and work it through I don't feel like its cleaning or doing anything. Its just kind of there and didn't rinse out completely. I have to say I really didn't like this shampoo. My hair didn't feel clean at all.

Premium Organic Conditioner
Lavender Vanilla

Claims:
Our Healing Conditioner is filled with coconut and vegetable proteins to help hydrate, heal and repair damaged hair from root to end without adding weight or buildup. The formula is infused with organic argan oil to add shine, body and moisture to all types of hair. Our ingredients promote control, manageability and smoothness.

Safe for daily use, for all hair types

Thoughts:
When I first smelled this I was like omg!! It smells beautiful.
My hair is really dry so I thought this would help it some. This did go on to the hair a lot more easily than the shampoo but I still had to use lots of pumps to get enough to cover all of my hair. When I rinsed it out my hair felt very dry so I used it again. I tried to run my fingers through my hair but it was very tangled. I was not very impressed.

Argan Oil

Claims:
Diminishes Wrinkles
Stimulates Skin Cells
Reduces Appearance of Scaring and Stretch Marks
Creates Softer Smoother Skin
Reliefs for Eczema and Psoriasis
Restores Nutrient Content to Skin Cells
Helps Moisturize Dry Scalp, Stimulate Hair Regeneration
Repairs Damaged Hair

Thoughts:
Since the shampoo and the conditioner left my hair out of sorts I thought this would help put some life back in it. I put a few drops and and I knew right away this was not going to be good. This stuff never absorbed into my hair. It kind of just sat there. I was beyond mad. I have very sensitive skin on my face so I was not about to use this on there but I put some on my hands and it felt lovely. I then put it all over my body and it was nice. It was weird it absorbed into the skin with no problem but not my hair.

Overall thoughts:
One thing that I did like about all the products is the packaging. It looks so nice and its easy to get to the products. I also love that they are organic and have and use the best ingredients. I also like that the shampoo and conditioner have no SLS, no parabens and that they are gluten free. I probably wont use the shampoo and conditioner again because it left my hair feeling like I had lots of buildup and kind of gross. I also hated the argan on my hair but loved it for my body.

Vitamin C Serum
On packaging:
" The vitamin C serum is thin and highly effective. It will help fade sun spots and discoloration, refine skin texture, reduce wrinkle formation and minimize existing wrinkles."

Organic Herbal Infusion, Aloe, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), MSM, botanical hyaluronic acid, Witch Hazel, d-Alpha Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Carbomer, Amino Complex, Ferulic Acid, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Jojoba Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin.

Pros:
Love the packaging
Not Sticky
Absorbs quickly
Does not leave any residue

Cons:
Very watery
Has a bad smell
 Broke me out

My thoughts:
I really had high hopes for this product. I use another vitamin C serum and I love it. It has worked wonders on my skin. I had run out of mine so I thought what the heck.
This I'm sorry to say didn't do anything for me except give my lots of pimples not just a few bumps here and there but huge zits that hurt. My other vitamin c serum clears up my skin this made my face awful. As soon as I stopped trying it out my face took a few days to clear up but then it went back to normal.

Retinol Moisturizer
Off of website:
"A powerful, hydrating cream rich in Retinol (also known as vitamin A) that can help combat aging effects and promote perpetually healthy skin. Retinol works as a cell-communicating tool, to signal skin cells to regenerate tissues and enhance structural firmness of the skin. It is also boosted with antioxidants that may provide extra anti-aging protection."

Ingredients:
Organic Aloe Vera, Organic Sunflower Oil, Palm Oil, Pentylene Glycol, Phospholipids, Retinol, Polysorbate 20, Potassium Phosphate, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E), Cassia Angustifolia Seed Polysaccharide, Glyceryl Stearate,Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Organic Jojoba Oil, Wildcrafted Green Tea, Propolis, Shea Butter, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyl Glycerin, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid.

Pros:
Great packaging
Nice constancy
Not sticky
No smell
Sinks into skin easily

Cons:
Made my face look dull
Made my face extremely oily in the morning
Broke me out

My thoughts:
I am not a big fan of retinol products but I thought I would try this one. I know with products that have retinol you have to give it some time to really work and help your skin. After a few days my face looked bumpy and dull. Then I started to break out again after I had cleared it up from the serum. I have very sensitive skin so this was a total thumbs down for me. My face looked old and gross. I really really hate retinol products.

Off of website:
"A soothing, gentle cream designed to give back radiant, irresistible eyes. By harnessing the power of Matrixyl 3000—a rejuvenating plant stem cell therapy, it can smooth, refirm, and restore skin."

Ingredients:
Organic Herbal Infusion, Organic Aloe, Matrixyl 3000, Palmitoyl Triepeptide-3, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Plant Stem Cells, Cucumber Hydrosol, Organic Jojoba Oil, Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, MSM, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Carrageenan Gum, Silk Amino Acid Blend (Sodium L-Pyrrolidone Carboxylate, Sodium Lactate, L’Arginine, L-Aspartic Acid, L-Pyrrolidonecarboxylic Acid, Glycine, L-Alanine, L-Serine, L-Valine, L-Proline, L-threonine, L-Isoleucine, L-Histidine, L-Phenylalanine), Wildcrafted Periwinkle, Organic Licorice, Wildcrafted Eye Bright, Wildcrafted Reishi, Organic Gotu Kola, Frankincense, Vitamin E, Sodium Benzoate, Potassi-um Sorbate, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin

Pro:
Like the packaging

Cons:
Smells like cucumbers
Really sticky
Doesn't sink into skin

My thoughts:
I was really interested in the product because I have never used an under eye gel. The packaging was all I liked about this product.
First I hated the smell. It smells like cucumbers but not nice fresh ones kind of like old nasty ones. Next the product never really absorbed into my skin so it stayed tacky.
I applied it under my concealer and because the product never fully absorbs it made my concealer cake up and kind of stick together and make my makeup look horrible. I used alone as well and it also made my under eye wrinkles stick together. I also noticed the more I used it the more it made my wrinkles worse and deeper.

Final thought:
I did give these products a good go but I have to say I did not like them. I did try them alone and with each other. I did notice that the more I used them the more my face looked horrible. I do have to remind you this is my opinion and everyone's face is different. What doesn't work for me may work for someone else.

Thank you all for reading and until next time!!

Back to where I started

Hello everyone!!

Its been a while since I have written anything. 4 months to be exact.Once you see it in number form its hard to believe. It feels like just a few weeks to me.
Anyhow as y'all know I had moved to Las Vegas from Albuquerque New Mexico around April. Well we (my husband and I) lived there for two months and I didn't like it at all. It was way different than what we thought it would be. I knew in the first few days I wanted to move. It just wasn't for me and I was pretty down about being there. We stayed there and tried to tough it out but no. Well in June we decided to move back to Texas where we are originally from. Holy cow can I say I don't want to see a moving van or a box for a while. This has been a really crazy time and I don't see it calming down anytime soon.
One thing I have learned is to accept that life never goes the way you planned it and that's ok. At least I can say I tried it. You never know if you don't try it right. I don't have a single clue where life is going to take me in the next few weeks but all I can say is whatever it is I can handle it.
As for the blog I will resume with the writing because I love it and everyone that takes the time to read it. I have really missed reading other peoples blogs as well and being in the beauty and blogging community.
Thank you for reading and until next time!!!
