Tips For Oily Skin

I've had oily skin since I can remember. I always hated it growing up. I would do my makeup and a few hours later I was an oily mess.  Now that I am older and have researched and tried many a product I know what's best for my skin.

I have compiled a list for you all on skin and makeup tips for oily skin:

Skin Care:

1. Wash face- (never sleep in makeup) Its always a good idea to buy a cleanser that is formulated to your skin type. Doing this will make sure your face is getting what it needs. I also like to use my Clarisonic once a day to insure it is clean.

2. Use a toner- The number one thing you need to look for when buying a toner for oily skin is make sure its alcohol free. Alcohol can dry out your skin and in turn produce more oil.

3. Use oil free moisturizer- If you buy a product with oil in it it could clog your pores and cause a break out. Not to mention thicker moisturizers make oily skin feel gross.

4. Clay mask- Once a week I use a clay mask to draw out all my impurites and help keep my skin clear.

5. Exfoliate- I use a very mild exfoliant on days I feel that my skin is a bit dull.

Makeup:

1. Prep skin- Even though I am oily I like to prepare my skin before makeup with a light moisturizer with sunscreen. We don't want skin damage do we.

2. Prime face- I like to use something that will blur my imperfections and help with staying power. There is a ton of primers but I have to be careful because some break me out!!

3. Foundation- It depends what I am in the mood for that day I may use a BB cream or a foundation that is oil free. Another good alternative for oily skin is mineral makeup.

4. Setting powder- I always powder my foundation. No matter what I always powder. I like powders that are made to keep your face looking matte.

5. Blot- Through out the day I get oily so I don't just put more powder on my face. What I do is use blotting papers. I like to blot away the shine not add more powder so I look like a cake face.

So those are some tips I have for oily skin that have helped me. If y'all have any please share them with me.

Thank you for reading and until next time!!

  6. Who adores sleek skin when it gives you an oily ugly look? It is intense when you are now battling for perfect and clear skin. Numerous individuals go to compelling lengths, unsuccessfully, and make their skin condition exacerbate.

  7. If you have oily skin chances are you don't easily show the fine lines and wrinkles of ageing. But then oily skin tends to get the dirt and pollutant easily than the dry skin. Free radicals easily stick to skin that are oily.
