My 5 Essentials for Blog Productivity

I was approached to write a post on what my essentials are for staying productive. I am such a procrastinator so this really appealed to me. I tell my self all the time "Oh it's ok you can always do it tomorrow" and that always leaves me feeling like I didn't accomplish anything for the day.  As of lately I have been laying down the law with my self and getting stuff done.

Here is my 5 essentials to staying productive and on top of things.

1. Staying organized- I use a planner and I write everything in it. I mean everything. This helps a lot because I can check off what I have gotten done and that helps me feel like I finished something. It also helps to let me know what I need to do for the next day and what I must do to prepare for it.

2. Blog Checklist- I have come up with a blog checklist that I do daily to keep me productive. This list has things such as checking email to things like taking pictures of products. I found a list a list on Pinterset but I changed it to better suit my blogging needs.

3. Pen and Paper- Another thing that has helped me a lot is always having a pen and paper handy. I get ideas at really crazy times so this helps me to be able to remember them. I even have a small note pad in my purse.

4. Goals and Rewards- I have the shortest attention span ever. I can't sit down for long before I get really antsy. What has helped me with this problem is setting small goals or deadlines. When I complete these I give my self a reward. I get some off time or reading time or whatever I give my self. This has helped a lot because I don't like to just sit here and look at my computer and think ugh I wish I was doing something else.

5. Stuff You Love- My most important essential for productivity is writing about things I love. I mean who wants to write material that they hate. I know I wouldn't. When you are writing about things you like the easier you are to stay motivated and give a better product.

All of these have helped me immensely. I am getting more things done and I feel like my writing is even getting better.

Let me know what you guys use to stay on task and productive. I can always use some improvement.

Thank you for reading and until next time!!!

One more thing if your a small business I recommend Kabbage, a loan provider, for any and all entrepreneurs.

  1. #5 is the most important one, I think! Once, I agreed to commit myself to writing for a brand I wasn't that interested in, just because they asked me so nicely and I didn't have the heart to say no. That was a mistake because my heart just wasn't in it. :-/ Lol.

    1. I'm sorry about your experience. I will truly take that into account now. If my hearts not into it I am not going to do it!! Thank you!!

  2. This is great!! I always have a notebook handy to write things down, if not I always forget them!

    1. Oh my goodness I write everything down. I have the worst memory. Thank you for reading!!

  3. I so agree with number 5. I try to stay true to who I am and what I love in my posts. I also have a note book where I take notes. Even though my organization has gotten better than what it used to be, I'm still not as organized as I would like to be.

I so enjoyed reading this Olivia.
