Bridal Inspired Makeup

Hello Lovely Readers!!

I was inspired by lover.ly, a wonderful site for wedding ideas and tools to help you plan your special day. I was married last year and I so wish I had known about this site. It has a ton of info even wedding dress ideas. Anyway they asked me to come up with a makeup look inspired by a wedding gown. I was not sponsored nor did I receive anything for this its just some blog love. I was of course thrilled beyond words. They sent me three images and I picked the one that best suited me and my tastes.

I chose this gown because I adore lace. I love the way it looks, I love the way it feels I just really love lace. Its very romantic and elegant. I love how delicate and intricate the neck is. Its kind of a little regal.

What I came up with.
I wanted something soft and romantic to complement the softness of the lace. I wanted a slight smoky eye to really make my eyes pop but not take away attention from the details of the dress. I didn't want a dark lip because I wanted to keep it light and subtle.

For the face I started with a primer and I used Garnier 5 Sec Blur which really blurs my imperfections and makes my makeup last longer.
For foundation I wanted something I knew would last so I picked Revlon Colorstay Whipped. I love this foundation because its full coverage and it stays all day.
To cover spots and dark circles Maybelline FIT Me Concealer is wonderful. It covers everything and doesn't cake up.
I am a oily face gal so I need something that will keep me matte and The Balm Sexy Mama Translucent powder is perfect.
For a little bronze glow I used Tarte Bronzer in Park Ave Princess. This bronzer is beautiful and natural looking and the best part its matte and waterproof.
For the cheeks I used a little bit of Physician's Formula Happy Booster in Natural to give me a soft flush.
I think highlighting is a must and to give me a spotlight glow I used Mary Lou Manizer by The Balm.
And to set everything Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray. This will insure your face is perfect all day.

For the eyes I started with a primer to keep my shadows from budging and creasing. For this I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion.
For the shadows I used my LORAC PRO palette which has a special place in my heart because I used it for my wedding day. I first used Cream all over my lid and brow bone. Then I used a mixture of Nude and Champagne just on the lid. For the crease I used Pewter and then some Espresso to deepen up the crease. For liner I used the Deep Purple shadow.
Then I applied some Rimmel Scandaleyes Rockin Curves Mascara for some volume and lift.
And of course you need some brows and I used my Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ebony.

To complete the look I used Milani Pretty Natural lipstick to give my the perfect pink pout.

I hope y'all enjoyed my post as much as I enjoyed writing it!!

Until next time!

My 5 Essentials for Blog Productivity

I was approached to write a post on what my essentials are for staying productive. I am such a procrastinator so this really appealed to me. I tell my self all the time "Oh it's ok you can always do it tomorrow" and that always leaves me feeling like I didn't accomplish anything for the day.  As of lately I have been laying down the law with my self and getting stuff done.

Here is my 5 essentials to staying productive and on top of things.

1. Staying organized- I use a planner and I write everything in it. I mean everything. This helps a lot because I can check off what I have gotten done and that helps me feel like I finished something. It also helps to let me know what I need to do for the next day and what I must do to prepare for it.

2. Blog Checklist- I have come up with a blog checklist that I do daily to keep me productive. This list has things such as checking email to things like taking pictures of products. I found a list a list on Pinterset but I changed it to better suit my blogging needs.

3. Pen and Paper- Another thing that has helped me a lot is always having a pen and paper handy. I get ideas at really crazy times so this helps me to be able to remember them. I even have a small note pad in my purse.

4. Goals and Rewards- I have the shortest attention span ever. I can't sit down for long before I get really antsy. What has helped me with this problem is setting small goals or deadlines. When I complete these I give my self a reward. I get some off time or reading time or whatever I give my self. This has helped a lot because I don't like to just sit here and look at my computer and think ugh I wish I was doing something else.

5. Stuff You Love- My most important essential for productivity is writing about things I love. I mean who wants to write material that they hate. I know I wouldn't. When you are writing about things you like the easier you are to stay motivated and give a better product.

All of these have helped me immensely. I am getting more things done and I feel like my writing is even getting better.

Let me know what you guys use to stay on task and productive. I can always use some improvement.

Thank you for reading and until next time!!!

One more thing if your a small business I recommend Kabbage, a loan provider, for any and all entrepreneurs.

Billion Dollar Brows Best Sellers Kit

Good Day Everyone!!

At a very young age I over plucked my eyebrows and they never grew back. I have always had issues with them. Now I am very self conscious about my brows or should I say lack thereof. I don't even like to leave the house without them drawn on. Since I use brow products a lot I like to try different product. I was given the opportunity to review the Billion Dollar Brow Kit and I was so ecstatic.

Exclusively at KOHL's
$34.99

What you get in the kit:
Universal Brow Pencil
Brow Duo Pencil
Smudge Brush
Brow Gel

Universal Brow Pencil- This mechanical pencil is designed to work with all skin tones and hair colors.

Brow Duo Pencil- One end is a Highlighter to smudge under you brow to give them a more sculpted emphasis.
The other end is a Concealer you can use also to sculpt brows or on any blemishes.
Use the brush to blend in this product.

Brow Gel- Use this as the finishing touch for a more polished, groomed brow.

Swatches: Brow, Highlight, Concealer

Brow done using all products. Other brow bare. (Don't laugh I know its bad)

Full Brows!!

Ok yes I am absolutely in love with these products. The pencil goes on super smooth. The color is a petty good match and looks very natural. Best part is it lasts all day without smudging. The duo pencil is fabulous. I like to highlight my brows and use the concealer on some brown spots and it just blends in so nice. I'm not much of a brow gel gal but this stuff is like nothing I have tried before. It separates the hair I have and makes them look almost fuller. I have to give this a 10. I love it. My brows look nice now not like I just got a pencil and drew them on.

Thank you so much for reading and until next time!!

Apothecary Extracts Tea Tree Oil Review

Hi everyone!!

I am always looking for more ways to incorporate natural products into my life. So when I was given the opportunity to review this Apothecary Tea Tree Oil I was over the moon.

Tea tree oil is oil that comes from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia tree. What makes up the oil is an excellent fighter against bacteria, fungus and viruses. Making it great for a ton of uses.

The many uses of tea tree oil:
  • Dental Care
  • Chronic Illness
  • Aromatherapy
  • Hair Care
  • Household Cleaning
  • First Aid
  • Skin Care

One of the ways I used it was as a face mask. I have large pores and my face is very oily so I thought this would be great.

Cleansing Tea Tree Oil & Clay Mask
What You Need:
  •  2 tbsp. green or red clay powder
  • 4 tbsp. Apothecary Extracts Tea Tree Oil
  •  Water
Place oil and clay in small bowel and mix in water to make a paste. Leave on for 20 mins. Rinse off and pat face dry.

After I did this my face was so smooth and it felt very clean. I have been also using it diluted with water on my spots on my face and I have to say my face looks great. I am in love with this stuff. The only thing I'm kind of iffy about is the smell. Other than that I think this oil is fantastic for anyone who wants to add more of a natural multi purpose ingredient into their life.
