Smashbox On The Rocks Palette + Video

Hello everyone!! I hope y'all had a wonderful Christmas!! I know I sure did even though I had to drive a lot. It was totally worth it.
Any who before I went out of town I went into Sephora and spotted the Smashbox On The Rocks Palette for 18 buck. I about fainted because I was eyeing this palette and to be able to get it for such a deal was icing on the cake.

Regular $36 I got it for $18!!!

Gorgeous packaging!!

12 shadows

Swatched with no primer!!

I love all the shades!! They are amazingly pigmented and super soft. The only thing I don't like is these shadows have a ton of fallout. You have to remember to tap off the excess but other than that its pretty darn perfect.

Thank you for reading and until next time!!!

Flower Eye-See-You Eye Beauty Set

Howdy Guys!!!

Don't you just hate when you get on Instagram and see something and you think "oh my I have to get my hands on that" Well I do that all the time but when I saw this I knew I had to do whatever it took to get this set.

I love the packaging!! Rose gold heck yes!
I found this at Walmart with the gift sets for $19.98.
I am not sure if they still have this since it was a Holiday set. If they do it may be on clearance. But again I am not totally sure.

From back of box;
"Eye Spy... The essential eye palette! Featuring 8 shimmery, fully pigmented eyeshadow shades with a bonus Ultimate Eyeshadow Brush & Extreme Measures Lengthening Mascara. Sparkle and Shine during the holiday times!"

What you get:
8 Shadow Play Eyeshadow Shades
1 Ultimate Eyeshadow Brush
I Extreme Measures Lengthening Mascara

8 Shadow Play Eyeshadow Shades

No primer used to swatch.

Ok this palette is amazing. I love every single shade and the pigmentation is phenomenal. They are perfect for any occasion. The shadows themselves are buttery smooth and blend like a dream. The packaging is beautiful and so posh. The only thing I don't like is that the palette has no mirror and that it does not open flat. Other than that I love it.
The brush that the set comes with is fantastic. It is so super soft and blends your shadows with little to no effort. It feels like a very expensive brush not one you bought in a set at Walmart. Its my new favorite brush.

Mascara wand.
Love the shape and the bristles. Makes it very easy to get into every lash from root to tip. I also really like the packaging of the mascara tube.

I used the palette for this look.
No mascara

With mascara

I have to say I am blown away by this set. I have used a few things from Flower Beauty but not many. You better believe I am going to try a lot more.

Let me know what you favorite Flower Beauty products are!!

NYC Individual Eyes in Union Station

Greetings and Happy Holidays!!

I have seen this palette many a time when I go to the story but it never tickled my fancy. Until I read a blog review and thought I had to try it. I have tried one these palettes from NYC before a Halloween one from last year and it was ok. So I was curious about this one.

4 shadows and 2 cream products

Union Square

Look I came up with

This palette has two cream products a primer and an illuminator. I don't use them but they are nice to have. As for the shadows they are very soft and pigmented. I can't believe I haven't tried them before. I love the colors and everything about this palette.

What are your favorite NYC products?

Profusion 12 Pan Palette Swatches

Hi everyone!!

I love Profusion shadows. I reviewed some last year and loved them. HERE This year I found the 12 pan palettes and no doubt about it they found their way in my cart. Of course it helped that they only cost 1 buck each. YES!! 1 DOLLAR!!

Walgreens
$1.00

Natural

Smokey

Shimmer

Berry

These are nice especially for one dollar but they didn't live up to the ones from last year. The ones from last year were a little bit more pigmented and vivid these had color just not enough. I will use them but I don't know I still love the others.

Thank you all for reading and until next time!!

1. Pink Bikini

2. Cherry Smash

3. Hibiscus Tea Punch

4. Caramel Martini

I have to say that I really like these. You don't have to sharpener them and they do not have any scent or flavor. They also go on super smooth and have great pigmentation. Nothing crazy but a nice color pay off for being so sheer and lightweight. I also like how moisturizing they feel on the lips which is perfect for me since I have extremely dry lips. The staying power is ok nothing really long wearing its ok because I can just reapply since they feel so good on the lips.

Have you tried these? Let me know your favorite colors.

Old Factory Happy Holidays Candle Set Review

Hello everyone and Happy Holidays!!

I was given the opportunity to review a set of candles from Old Factory Candles and I was super excited. I have a slight obsession with candles so I jumped on this.

"These Natural Soy Candles Are Hand Poured In The USA"
I like that that they are hand poured and made right here in the the good old U S of A.
It makes me think that they are very careful and proud of this product.

You get three 2oz candles in a glass jar with a twist on lid in one box.
I absolutely love the packaging its so flipping cute!!

They have a few different sets but I picked out the
Happy Holidays Set since Christmas is just around the corner.

I love each scent. They smell wonderful and true to their name. They burn really nice and give the best smell.
I like that you can give these away as a set or break it up to have three separate gifts.

These are an excellent addition to my candle collection and I will definitely purchase more sets.

Thank you all for reading.

Rimmel WonderLash Mascara

Hello everyone!!

I am very sorry for the lack of posts but around this time of year I really get into the Holiday Season. I like to make my home very festive with tons of decorations so I tend to do loads of crafting. Also for some reason I only crotchet during the colder months so my mind often wonders from the blog. Since it is cold out I really like to spend time reading and snuggling with my cats or husband to stay warm.
It is the time of year to spend with family so I will be traveling a lot. I know we all get like this around this time but if y'all could bear with me I will post as much as I can. Ok on with the show!

I've been having crazy bad luck with mascara for a few months. I have tried many and I haven't found one I really like. So when I saw this I didn't think much about it. I just wanted to see how it applied since it has Argan oil.

Rimmel WonderLash
With Argan Oil

Found at Walgreens

 Color in Black

Claims:
  • Formula with Argan Oil smooths lashes with zero clump, feather light volume.
  • Lashes feel conditioned, soft and flexible.
  • The Smooth Operator brush with ultra soft bristles hugs lashes defining them from root to tip.
When I first applied this mascara I knew it was special. It goes on extremely easy and smooth. The brush lets you get every lash from root to tip. I thought since it did have Argan in it, it would be heavy but no. It gave me so much length and volume with no clumps. I also thought since it had the oil in it it would transfer under my eyes through out the day but no it stayed put all day. I have to say I have fallen in love with this mascara which I didn't think I would because I have had bad luck with Rimmel Mascara.

Have any of y'all tried this yet? Let me know what you think!!

Bridal Inspired Makeup

Hello Lovely Readers!!

I was inspired by lover.ly, a wonderful site for wedding ideas and tools to help you plan your special day. I was married last year and I so wish I had known about this site. It has a ton of info even wedding dress ideas. Anyway they asked me to come up with a makeup look inspired by a wedding gown. I was not sponsored nor did I receive anything for this its just some blog love. I was of course thrilled beyond words. They sent me three images and I picked the one that best suited me and my tastes.

I chose this gown because I adore lace. I love the way it looks, I love the way it feels I just really love lace. Its very romantic and elegant. I love how delicate and intricate the neck is. Its kind of a little regal.

What I came up with.
I wanted something soft and romantic to complement the softness of the lace. I wanted a slight smoky eye to really make my eyes pop but not take away attention from the details of the dress. I didn't want a dark lip because I wanted to keep it light and subtle.

For the face I started with a primer and I used Garnier 5 Sec Blur which really blurs my imperfections and makes my makeup last longer.
For foundation I wanted something I knew would last so I picked Revlon Colorstay Whipped. I love this foundation because its full coverage and it stays all day.
To cover spots and dark circles Maybelline FIT Me Concealer is wonderful. It covers everything and doesn't cake up.
I am a oily face gal so I need something that will keep me matte and The Balm Sexy Mama Translucent powder is perfect.
For a little bronze glow I used Tarte Bronzer in Park Ave Princess. This bronzer is beautiful and natural looking and the best part its matte and waterproof.
For the cheeks I used a little bit of Physician's Formula Happy Booster in Natural to give me a soft flush.
I think highlighting is a must and to give me a spotlight glow I used Mary Lou Manizer by The Balm.
And to set everything Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray. This will insure your face is perfect all day.

For the eyes I started with a primer to keep my shadows from budging and creasing. For this I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion.
For the shadows I used my LORAC PRO palette which has a special place in my heart because I used it for my wedding day. I first used Cream all over my lid and brow bone. Then I used a mixture of Nude and Champagne just on the lid. For the crease I used Pewter and then some Espresso to deepen up the crease. For liner I used the Deep Purple shadow.
Then I applied some Rimmel Scandaleyes Rockin Curves Mascara for some volume and lift.
And of course you need some brows and I used my Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ebony.

To complete the look I used Milani Pretty Natural lipstick to give my the perfect pink pout.

I hope y'all enjoyed my post as much as I enjoyed writing it!!

Until next time!

My 5 Essentials for Blog Productivity

I was approached to write a post on what my essentials are for staying productive. I am such a procrastinator so this really appealed to me. I tell my self all the time "Oh it's ok you can always do it tomorrow" and that always leaves me feeling like I didn't accomplish anything for the day.  As of lately I have been laying down the law with my self and getting stuff done.

Here is my 5 essentials to staying productive and on top of things.

1. Staying organized- I use a planner and I write everything in it. I mean everything. This helps a lot because I can check off what I have gotten done and that helps me feel like I finished something. It also helps to let me know what I need to do for the next day and what I must do to prepare for it.

2. Blog Checklist- I have come up with a blog checklist that I do daily to keep me productive. This list has things such as checking email to things like taking pictures of products. I found a list a list on Pinterset but I changed it to better suit my blogging needs.

3. Pen and Paper- Another thing that has helped me a lot is always having a pen and paper handy. I get ideas at really crazy times so this helps me to be able to remember them. I even have a small note pad in my purse.

4. Goals and Rewards- I have the shortest attention span ever. I can't sit down for long before I get really antsy. What has helped me with this problem is setting small goals or deadlines. When I complete these I give my self a reward. I get some off time or reading time or whatever I give my self. This has helped a lot because I don't like to just sit here and look at my computer and think ugh I wish I was doing something else.

5. Stuff You Love- My most important essential for productivity is writing about things I love. I mean who wants to write material that they hate. I know I wouldn't. When you are writing about things you like the easier you are to stay motivated and give a better product.

All of these have helped me immensely. I am getting more things done and I feel like my writing is even getting better.

Let me know what you guys use to stay on task and productive. I can always use some improvement.

Thank you for reading and until next time!!!

One more thing if your a small business I recommend Kabbage, a loan provider, for any and all entrepreneurs.

Billion Dollar Brows Best Sellers Kit

Good Day Everyone!!

At a very young age I over plucked my eyebrows and they never grew back. I have always had issues with them. Now I am very self conscious about my brows or should I say lack thereof. I don't even like to leave the house without them drawn on. Since I use brow products a lot I like to try different product. I was given the opportunity to review the Billion Dollar Brow Kit and I was so ecstatic.

Exclusively at KOHL's
$34.99

What you get in the kit:
Universal Brow Pencil
Brow Duo Pencil
Smudge Brush
Brow Gel

Universal Brow Pencil- This mechanical pencil is designed to work with all skin tones and hair colors.

Brow Duo Pencil- One end is a Highlighter to smudge under you brow to give them a more sculpted emphasis.
The other end is a Concealer you can use also to sculpt brows or on any blemishes.
Use the brush to blend in this product.

Brow Gel- Use this as the finishing touch for a more polished, groomed brow.

Swatches: Brow, Highlight, Concealer

Brow done using all products. Other brow bare. (Don't laugh I know its bad)

Full Brows!!

Ok yes I am absolutely in love with these products. The pencil goes on super smooth. The color is a petty good match and looks very natural. Best part is it lasts all day without smudging. The duo pencil is fabulous. I like to highlight my brows and use the concealer on some brown spots and it just blends in so nice. I'm not much of a brow gel gal but this stuff is like nothing I have tried before. It separates the hair I have and makes them look almost fuller. I have to give this a 10. I love it. My brows look nice now not like I just got a pencil and drew them on.

Thank you so much for reading and until next time!!
