Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer Review

Hello and Good Day Everyone!!

A part from having an oily face I also have dark under eye circles. Perfect combo right? Like so many people out there I have tried many a concealer in my day. I love Rimmel and have seen this concealer at the store but kind of past it by. I didn't think it would be a great product because it is so inexpensive. One day I said what the heck and bought it. Of course I had a coupon that influenced my decision.

I got it in the color light/medium
$4.99 then had a $1.00 off coupon so it cost $3.99
@ Wal-Mart

Doe Foot Applicator

Off of tube:
"Our first full coverage concealer that visibly reawakens and illuminates under the eyes. Completely conceals spots and other blemishes. Instant anti-fatigue effect. With peptides and a Vitamin Moisturising Complex."

The main reason I bough this is because it says that it reawakens and illuminates the under eye area.
The first time I used this I was not happy. I applied it kind of thick then set with Ben Nye Banana Powder. It creased like crazy. It looked cakey and just bad. I left it alone for weeks then thought to try it again. This time I used it lightly and set with Ben Nye Neutral Set. Oh my it looked amazing.
I love the texture. Its light and creamy and blends in nice and easy.
As for my under eye circles it does conceal them quite efficiently and makes me look like I have had a good nights rest. I do have to say that this is not a true full coverage concealer but more of a medium coverage concealer. I don't know how it works on blemishes because I don't tend to get many.
Rimmel is such a wonderful company and I love their products. Next time I wont second guess them. They know how to make makeup.

Ben Nye Neutral Set Review

Greetings Beautiful Readers!!!

One of the things I hate more then anything is being oily. I have tried a lot of face powders through out the years and nothing has ever worked perfectly. I do like my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder but I am so oily that a lot of times it doesn't hold up.
Due to the wild popularity of the Ben Nye Banana Powder I was very interested in this.

I found this at a local costume shop for $7.50
for 1.7 oz.

It has a sifter that is a bit messy.

Yikes white powder!!

Oh good no color!!

"Neutral Set Translucent Powder is a colorless powder that blends with all skin tones and retains the intensity of bright and dark shades. Its special formula controls perspiration, making this product perfect for high energy performers such as clowns or dancers."

I don't know where to being with this powder. Its amazing.
I take and put a little bit in another container so I can put a brush or sponge in it. All you need is a tiny bit so a little goes a long way.
This powder does look white but blends in and doesn't leave any color or white cast. The powder is light and doesn't feel heavy or cakey on the face. I can't believe how flawless this makes me look. The best thing is it did set and  prolong my makeup and also kept me matte and shine free all day. For an oily person this is incredible. I do like to use this instead of my Banana Powder to set my under eye concealer. I feel that this powder is lighter in texture than the Banana Powder. For that reason I feel like it keeps my concealer in place and creaseless better than the Banana Powder.
This powder has changed the way I do my make up. Its a great product. The only thing is the packaging. I don't like it. It gets everywhere and not ideal for traveling.
So glad I bought this. I know I will be trying more Ben Nye products for sure.
Thank you for reading and until next time.

Jesse's Girl Glow Stick Lip Gloss in Tangerine

Hello Everybody!!!

Today I bring you the very popular Jesse's Girl Glow Stick Lip Gloss. I have been lusting over these lip glosses for quite sometime. I have seen a lot of pictures of them and thought they were the neatest thing. I finally got my hands on one and was most delighted.

Oh my goodness!!

I bought mine in the color Tangerine

Costs around $4.99 @ at Rite Aid or on Jesse's Girl website.

I am so gaga over this. Isn't it gorgeous.
This is a holographic gloss with an iridescent orange-green shift.
I love to put this gloss over a dark lipstick or wear it alone for a super glossy lip. It looks beautiful both ways.
My favorite thing about this gloss is how it feels on the lips. Super light and not sticky. The only thing I hate is the smell. Yes the smell its kind of gross.

This would be a perfect Holiday lip gloss for anyone. I highly recommend it.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Review

Hola Gals and Guys!!
I hope everyone is staying warm.

When I first saw that Urban Decay was coming out with a Naked 3 I about fainted. I love 1 and 2 so was very excited. Urban Decay released it on November 21 so of course I asked my husband if I could grab it and of course he said yes.

I know that everyone and their grandmother is going to have a review but its ok because everyone's opinion is different.

Look at the rose gold case.

12 New Never Before Seen Shadows
The other 2 palettes also come with a brush but I don't care for them. This one on the other hand is amazingly soft. I like it a lot.
The palette also has a large mirror which I love.
If that wasn't enough it comes with 4 primer potion samples.

  • Strange- Very light pale pink (Matte-Satin Finish)
  • Dust- Light pink with huge chunks of glitter (Metallic Finish)
  • Burnout- Pinky Peach (Satin Finish)
  • Limit- Dusty rose (Matte Finish)

  • Buzz- Rose shimmer (Metallic Finish)
  • Trick- Pinky copper (Shimmer Finish)
  • Nooner- Pinky brown (Matte Finish)
  • Liar- Mauve Shimmer ( Metallic Finish)

  • Factory- Brown with pink shimmer (Satin Finish)
  • Mugshot- Metallic taupe with pink shimmer (Metallic Finish)
  • Darkside- Dark Taupe mauve (Satin Finish)
  • Blackheart- Black with red mirco glitter (Matte)

I am infatuated with these new rose hued neutral shadows. Each one is nicely pigmented and has a dynamic saturation of color. I like that they give you a vast selection of finishes and not just shimmer. Best part is they have a smooth and soft texture. I can't help but love every single shadow. Urban Decay did it again. This is exactly what you would expect from Urban Decay nothing but an unbelievable product. So glad I picked it up and I'm happy to add it to my Naked Palette family!

IONI Cosmetics Lipgloss

Howdy Peeps!!

For Thanksgiving I went to see my family in Texas and had to stop at my favorite store. HEB was my go to store to shop for makeup. Where I live now there are no HEB's and it makes really sad. Anyway when I was there I bought some IONI lipglosses for a $1.49 each. I was so elated because I have seen great reviews on them. I have tried some other IONI products and really like them so I was not going to pass these up.

This is a gorgeous nude shade with no.

This shade is a sheer light pink with some shimmer.

Holy Cow this gloss is phenomenal. Beautiful deep berry with no shimmer. When it wears of it leaves a nice stain to the lips.

I have to say that these glosses do not feel like they where just $1.49 each.
The packaging is nice and simple. Which I like a lot.
They feel amazing on the lips. Not at all sticky but creamy and soft.
Best of all no cheap smell which is a plus with me. I hate stinky stuff.
So happy I got them. Will sure use them a lot over lipstick or just by themselves.

Profusion Twinkle Twinkle 5 Color Eyeshadow Palette

Good Morning!!!
I hope that everyone is having a blessed day!!

I am the first to admit that I am highly addicted to Instagram. I love looking at the looks people do or what makeup they are using. I was on one day and saw someone post about these little palettes that you get at Walgreens for a buck. Yes I said it one dollar. So of course I had to check it out for my self. I went to Walgreens and picked up 3 palettes all a dollar each.

Just look at the colors gorgeous. I love purple eyeshadow so I am going to use this a lot.

Um YES!! Come on aren't these just beautiful colors!!

I've died and gone to heaven. Every color is just sublime.

I did not use any primer to swatch. Every color is richly pigmented and has minimal fall out. I have never experienced texture like this in a high end shadow much less a dollar palette. They feel sooooo creamy and soft. Like butta.
They are all shimmery but I rather like that. I'm a total glitter gal so I like the finish on these.
I was very skeptical of these palettes but I am glad I got them. They are worth way more then a buck.
So I highly recommend that everyone go snatch them up . They would be a perfect gift or just keep them for your self.

Blistex Five Star Lip Protection

Hi wonderful blog readers!!

Now that winter is here my lips are always chapped and I hate it. I have tried countless lip products and nothing has ever helped. Its like the more I use the dryer my lips feel. I bought this lip balm a few weeks ago and I have been testing it out.

I bought this because its supposed to protect your lips from 5 of natures harshest conditions:
  • Holds in moisture in Dry air.
  • Soothes Cold-chapped lips.
  • Forms a Wind-resistant moisture shield.
  • Rehydrates Heat-stressed lips.
  • Protects from the Sun.
Its also water resistant for 80 minutes and has an SPF of 30.
That's a long list of things that this protects your lips from so I had high hopes for it. Its nice and thick and goes on well but of course like every lip balm I use. It keeps my lips moist for a while so I apply more and then my lips feel dryer and more chapped then when I started. I guess I have to keep searching for that perfect lip balm.

Dew Puff Konjac Face Sponge Review

Good Afternoon All!!!

I hope everyone is staying warm today. I woke up to beautiful snow. I love snow!!
Anyway Thanksgiving came and went and I trust all had a wonderful day I know I did. I went home to Texas and got sick and am still getting over it. I have been in bed but told my self "Olivia get up and blog you have a ton of stuff to catch up on and review!" So I'm up and had a huge cup of coffee and I'm ready to get after it.

So for today I have a product that I have been wanting to try for a while now. I saw a more expensive "High End" version but I was not going to shell out that kind of money for a face cleaning sponge. I was going to order a cheap version from eBay but thought twice about it. I wanted to buy one from the store but didn't have luck finding one. So on one of my trips to the health food store I came across one for less then 5 bucks. I was so excited.

This is a natural fiber sponge.
Its made from the root of the konjac plant that is native to Asia and has been used for centuries for many different purposes.

When its dry its as hard as a pumice stone and your like really you want me to use this on my face.

Then you wet it and its nice and soft.

You can get an original version but I chose the Bamboo Charcoal version. I have oily skin so I was all over this. The activated carbon and minerals help prevent breakouts and the antioxidants help to fight acne-causing bacteria. It also has the ability to break down dirt and promote circulation naturally.
The texture also gently exfoliates and refreshes skin.

I love that it is natural. I use a lot of stuff on my face and sometimes I just want to use something without any chemicals.
This undoubtedly leaves my face feeling so clean and fresh. You can use it with or without a cleanser and I love that you can have that option. I also enjoy the shape of this little sponge. It makes it much easier to hold and get around your face. Best part is it lasts 3 months with washing your face twice a day making it really cost-effective. You rinse it after each use, squeeze excess water and let air dry for your next use. If you want to further sanitize boil for 2 minutes or microwave for 1 minute then air dry.
Since it is all natural it is biodegradable and compostable.

I am extremely thrilled I tried this. I use it everyday and I am loving the results. My face has never felt better.
